Information for carers and support workers

Please take what you can from this information, if we missed anything out, let us know!

For some carers, a quick look at the kids page will be very useful

Many of the guidelines for children may apply, or be useful in your environment

We can support you

We are also able to provide specialist keyboards, mice and input devices for all sorts of disabilities and impairments. Keyboards available include keys that are 1 inch square, ABCDEFG instead of QWERTYU, colour coded keys and alternate layouts for limited hand motilities etc.

Another area where we can help is setting up a PC to be more robust and resilient to having its settings changed, or having important files accidentally deleted etc. We can also train the carer in basic computer skills, and bring the carer up to speed with the potential problems and solutions
